Curriculum Based Instruction helps students develop age-appropriate skills for functioning outside the school environment. It ultimately prepares them to successfully transition to adulthood after graduation, thus enhancing their quality of life.
We at Paul Bell provide hands-on instruction that is first implemented on the school campus and eventually practiced in community locations. Skills taught are individualized to meet the particular needs of students which relate to their specific IEP goals. Community Based Instruction increases age-appropriate behaviors for work and community settings, independence, mobility, and the ability to generalize skills and knowledge to new situations.
